Are there any accommodations with two separate bedrooms?

Absolutely! Our lodges feature two separate bedrooms.

Can the beds be separated?

In several of our Junior Suites (with French balcony or terrace), it’s possible to separate the twin beds. In the lodges, this is also possible in one of the two bedrooms. If you let us know in advance when making your reservation, we’ll make sure everything is arranged just the way you like it.

Can I add a baby bed to my booking?

A baby cot fits in every type of accommodation. You can bring your own, or book one (including bedding and blanket) per stay. Please note: this is subject to availability. Reserve your cot in advance to make sure it’s ready for you upon arrival.

Is it possible to add an extra bed for another person?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The maximum number of guests is limited to the number of available beds. Of course, we make an exception for a baby cot, you can bring your own, or we can arrange one for you upon request.

Are there coffee and tea facilities, a refrigerator and/or cooking facilities in the room?

Fully equipped for your comfort: all rooms offer coffee and tea making facilities, and a refrigerator to store your food and drinks. In the suites, you’ll also find a microwave, and in the lodges, you can cook your own meals on the ceramic hob.

How do I redeem a gift card?

At the moment, redeeming a gift card is only possible through the reception. We’ll be happy to help you make a reservation by phone or email.

Can I check in after 6:00 p.m.?

Check-in after 6:00 p.m. is possible upon request. Please let us know in advance, so we can coordinate the latest possible arrival time with you.

May I bring my dog(s)?

Dogs are welcome in several of our accommodations. We do ask that you let us know in advance. Bring your four-legged friend to one of our Junior Suites with a terrace, or book one of our two-storey lodges. Please note that a surcharge applies.

When booking these room types, you can add the pet fee right away — that way, your stay with your dog is guaranteed. Not sure, or don’t see the option listed? Feel free to contact us for availability — we’ll be happy to help!

Please note: unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside Bakehous, as that’s where our delicious food is prepared. However, they are very welcome — on a leash — on the terrace and lawn. You can also enjoy a meal with your dog at Restaurant WOODZ.

Is smoking allowed in the hotel?

No, smoking is not allowed. A non-smoking policy applies throughout the entire hotel. This means that smoking is not permitted in any of our rooms — not even on your private balcony or terrace. The shared outdoor areas and terrace are also smoke-free. There is, however, a designated smoking area on our grounds. Would you like to use it? We’ll be happy to show you where it is upon check-in

Why is there sometimes a minimum stay requirement?

Our guests come here to unwind. That’s why on certain days, arrivals and departures are not possible — to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. As a result, there is sometimes a minimum length of stay.

Am I allowed to receive visitors at the hotel?

Our hotel is intended for staying guests only. Would you still like to receive visitors? Please request permission in advance by emailing us at info@hotelbeekhuizen.nl , with the subject line “Request for visitors during stay.” In your message, include your booking details, the number of visitors, and the date and time you’d like them to come.

Good to know: each accommodation has one designated parking space. Visitors can use the public car park P Beekhuizen, which is only a two-minute walk away.

Is the hotel easily accessible by public transport?

Due to the peaceful and natural location of our hotel, it is not very easily accessible by public transport — but it’s not impossible either. Guests who prefer to travel by public transport can take a taxi from Velp or Arnhem train station, or make use of services such as OV-fiets (public rental bikes) or a shared car from providers like Greenwheels.

Is barbecuing or using a fire pit allowed?

No, barbecuing and open fires are not allowed on the premises.

Is the hotel a fireworks-free zone?

Yes, absolutely! Both our hotel and the surrounding area are fireworks-free. Even during New Year’s Eve, you can enjoy complete peace and quiet with us.

 

What do you do in terms of sustainability and corporate social responsibility?

We’re glad you asked — this is something we truly care about! Our hotel is located in the heart of a protected nature reserve: the Veluwezoom. We value taking good care of our surroundings just as much as taking care of our guests. Our goal is to help preserve this beautiful area so that many more people can continue to enjoy it in the future.

On February 15, 2024, Boutique Hotel Beekhuizen was awarded the Green Key Gold certification — the leading international sustainability label for the hospitality industry in the Netherlands. This means that we meet strict standards across 12 sustainability themes and do everything we can to protect the environment.

How is the mobile phone reception?

Ons hotel ligt een natuurgebied. Daardoor heb je met je mobiele telefoon nauwelijks of geen bereik. Bellen via internet, zoals WhatsApp, lukt wel. Dringende zaken waarvoor je moet bellen? Tijdens openingstijden van het Bakhuis kan je dan gebruikmaken van onze vaste telefoon.

Is there free Wi-Fi?

Yes, absolutely! Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire hotel.

Does the hotel have a restaurant?

There is a restaurant just 200 metres from the hotel: Restaurant WOODZ, located on the grounds of our adventurous sister company, Buitenplaats Beekhuizen. Good to know: the restaurant’s opening days vary depending on the season, and it may be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Can I store my bicycle safely?

Yes, absolutely. On our premises, you’ll find a covered and lockable bicycle shed. It’s also possible to charge your (rented) e-bike(s) here. Please note that charging batteries in the rooms or storing (racing) bikes inside the rooms is not permitted.

Can I rent a bicycle?

Yes! We offer both regular bikes with gears and e-bikes for rent. Our bicycles are provided by our partner VeluweActief. Would you like to rent a bike just for the evening for a lovely ride? A special evening rate applies. You can add your bike rental directly when booking to ensure availability, or rent one on site (subject to availability).

Is the car park secured or closed off?

We monitor both your belongings and ours with security cameras throughout the premises and facilities — a reassuring thought for everyone’s safety. Please note that the car park is not closed off.

Is there a luggage storage?

Yes, of course! If you arrive early or leave later in the day, you can store your luggage safely and free of charge at our reception. We’ve thought of every comfort!

What time is breakfast served?

Between 8:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., you can enjoy a breakfast of your choice in Bakehouse. The breakfast buffet is divided into several 40-minute shifts, allowing you to start your day in peace and at your own pace. Would you prefer an even quieter morning in your own room? That’s possible for an additional fee. Just let us know upon check-in — we’ll discuss your preferences and agree on a time to deliver your breakfast basket.

Is there a special rate for children’s breakfast?

Our little guests aged 3 to 12 enjoy breakfast at half price. For babies from 0 to 2 years old, breakfast is completely free.

Is breakfast also available for guests with dietary requirements?

We’ll do everything we can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible — including accommodating dietary preferences whenever possible. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements or allergies, preferably when making your reservation or at least a week before arrival. If you mention it upon arrival, we’ll do our best to meet your needs.
